Teams
A team in Decision Cartography belongs to your company’s Google Workspace domain. Everyone who signs in with a work account on that domain joins it.
Set up your team
You can ask your assistant, signed in with your work account, to do each of these (“Create our team in Decision Cartography”), or use the command line.
- Create the team. The person who creates it becomes its admin and claims the company’s domain: anyone who signs in with that domain from then on joins as a member.
- Invite people from outside the domain, with a work account, as members or admins.
- Give admin roles to the people who will look after the rulebook.
The rulebook
The rulebook holds the team’s decisions. Every member’s assistants follow it alongside each person’s own decisions; where the two disagree, the person’s own decision comes first.
Admins can:
- save a rule to the rulebook, or promote a rule a member saved, rewording it for the whole team;
- see rules that several members saved separately, which are good candidates for the rulebook;
- see members’ rules that go against the rulebook.
Who sees what
- Admins can read every decision members save with their work account. People are told this before they join.
- Members get the rulebook and their own decisions, never another member’s.
- Personal accounts never join a team, so nothing saved with one is visible to it.
- Work decisions belong to the team: when someone leaves, their work decisions stay with it.
